Gypsy Lifestyle

Well as a culmination to our Gypsy Lifestyle unit we had a visit from my friends Ron and Paula who live in an RV year round and live the lifestyle we had planned for. They showed us around their RV (home) they had such cool stuff. We dressed for the occasion and had a shared lunch after watching Latcho Drom.

WALT: Research places, events in NZ to develop an itinerary that reflects the needs of you and your family if you lived a Gypsy lifestyle.

To be successful you will;

- Prepare an itinerary lasting a year based on your families needs.

- Draw a mobile home to suit your needs within budget.

- Create an itinerary will state where you are going, when you are going (specific dates), what you will be doing when you get there and how much you will need to survive.

- Justify your decisions. Each item on the itinerary needs to be explained and justified. Why have you chosen this location or activity at the end of the task?

19/03/08

On Wednesday there was a helicopter that came to our school on our field.

We all got to go into the Helicopter and see what it had inside.

The Helicopter had over 80 gages 110 buttons and 4 seats and lots and lots of cargo.

The heavier the cargo the heavier blades for more bite with the same motor.

The Helicopter is 8 in a half tonnes not including the cargo or anything else.

They came up and seed that the Helicopter can go up to 180 knots and is made aluminum. It is going to Wanaka.
It is going to land at base 5 at about 3.30pm with over 10 years of expertise.
It was awesome that we could see the pilots.

Max really enjoyed sitting in the helicopter and on the landing gear. He found it exciting having it land at school.
