Research Gypsy Itinerary
| WALT: Research places, events in NZ to develop an itinerary that reflects the needs of you and your family if you lived a Gypsy lifestyle. To be successful you will; - Prepare an itinerary lasting a year based on your families needs. - Draw a mobile home to suit your needs within budget. - Create an itinerary will state where you are going, when you are going (specific dates), what you will be doing when you get there and how much you will need to survive. - Justify your decisions. Each item on the itinerary needs to be explained and justified. Why have you chosen this location or activity at the end of the task? |
| · Compare and contrast your needs as a NZ Gypsy with the Gypsies you researched. How will this influence the decisions you make about your trip? · Draw a mobile home in birds-eye view. Show where your living and storage areas are, special fixtures e.g. stereo, TV etc. Make sure it meets needs and is practical and costs less than $100,000. Discuss your choices with your parents and consider their input. Justify your choices. · Make a budget in excel for a whole year. Include cost for fuel and running costs, food and toiletries etc, clothing, any camp fees, entertainment anything else needed to function. Consider any other needs specific to your family. You will need to discuss this with your parents include any new insights or ideas from them. · Discuss with your parents and decide on how your family will make a living and estimate your earning potential with the help of your parents. · Make an itinerary using word. 1. Decide on 5 – 20 areas in 2. Make sure you can make a living there. 3. Where will you park your home? 4. What fun reasons would you want to be there? 5. Show a timetable of the year. Showing when you are moving, how long it will take to move and when you expect to arrive etc. 6. On another page justify the places you choose to visit/stay? |
